What to expect at the ceremony
The ceremony will last approximately one hour. Math awards will be handed out and the graduation address will be given by a graduating senior. You may sit with your family and friends to enjoy the ceremony. We will not line up for a procession prior to the ceremony, however you will be sent more explicit directions about one week prior to graduation. Finally, each graduate will walk across the stage as his/her name is called. You will receive a gift from the Mathematics Chair, Director of Undergraduate Studies, or Director of Graduate Studies. A reception will be held in the Campus Y and adjacent courtyard immediately after the ceremony ends.
Annual Graduate Student Photograph
Every year we take a photograph of the graduating graduate students in front of the home of the Mathematics Department, Phillips Hall after the ceremony. Graduating Graduate Students: Please follow Sara Kross (firstname.lastname@example.org) to the front of Phillips Hall immediately after the ceremony so that she may take the group photograph!
