Conference to be held on the campus of UNC Chapel Hill, North Carolina
March 9th – 11th, 2018

The annual meeting of the SIAM Southeastern Atlantic Section will be hosted jointly by UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University, and North Carolina State University.

Tentative Schedule:

Friday March 9th: evening registration and welcome reception (6:30pm – 8:30pm)
Saturday March 10th: all day conference, evening poster reception (8:30am – 8:30pm)
Sunday March 11th: half-day conference (8:30am – 12:45pm)

The conference format will consist of the 4 plenary talks (45 min each) by the above speakers, two on Saturday and two on Sunday, with 80 minute mini-symposia (four 15 min talks with 5 min for questions) sandwiched between the plenary talks, and a poster session (2 hrs) on Saturday evening.

We will schedule parallel minisymposia in order to accommodate all submissions. If the number of submitted minisymposia rises to the number of available classrooms, we will close the submission process.  Participants are requested to self-organize 80-minute mini-symposia with 4 speakers; while there will be no individual contributed talks, posters are strongly encouraged.  We also strongly encourage vertical integration of advanced graduate students, postdocs and faculty in minisymposia. Use the Registration tabs above to submit minisymposia and to register.
